After almost two decades, the new Köchel catalogue of W.A. Mozart’s works has been released, containing 95 works not hitherto included, and available for free searches in both English and German.
Ludwig von Köchel’s 1862 original catalogue represented the first attempt at a comprehensive listing of Mozart’s compositions, with K or KV numbers meant to reflect a chronological order of works. Since then, many revisions have been made based on updated information, resulting in new dates, attributions and catalogue numbers.
